Life Insurance Corporation of India is the financial services industry whose main function is Investments management, life insurance, health insurance and mutual funding. The organization was set up On September 1, 1956 and is headquartered in Mumbai.
Company has announced the vacancies for the only ST/SC candidates for the post of Assistant in various branches of LIC.
Nature of the Post:
Candidates will be hired for a probation period of 6 months or a year as decided by the respective authorities.
Total Number of Vacancies:
There are total number of vacancies in the entire south zone are 84. Reservation have been entertained for the candidates with disability.
Last date of receiving the application form at the respective centre is January 17, 2013.
Educational Qualification: – Applicants are needed to be Graduate to apply for the post. For the ex-servicemen in armed forces needed to be HSC passed.
Age of applicant should fall between 18 -35 years.
Age relaxation to various candidates like SC/ST candidates with disability with relaxations upto 10 years. The Ex-serviceman in Armed forces of SC/ST category can have maximum age upto 52 years. Besides the Ex-serviceman in LIC of SC/ST category do not have upper age limit.
The pay scale for the post is about Rs. 7640- Rs. 16850. Besides, major allowances are also provided as per Metro city expenditure.
The selection will be held on the basis of written test which will be conducted in two parts –Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is the objective type of paper while Paper II is the descriptive type. After clearing both the written tests shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Mode of Application:
Mode of application is Offline and no other mode application will be accepted.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates have to type or manually write the application in the given format as issued by the company. Along with the application attested photocopies of the documents are to be sent namely- HSC marksheet, graduation certificate, SSC certificate (Showing date of birth), caste certificate, Discharge certificate (for Ex-servicemen), Disability certificate, two latest passport sized photographs (one pasted on the application form and one for the exam hall ticket use), post card (self addressed) and one 23X12 cm sized envelope (self addressed and Rs. 5 valued stamp affixed on it). The candidates need to superscribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT” on the left side top corner of the application envelope. The application is to be sent by post to the respective divisional address as given in the official notification.
