General Insurance Corporation Of India (GIC) Recruitment 2013 Of Scale-I Officers In Assistant Managers’ Cadre

GIC Re, the ‘Indian Reinsurer’ and 15^th largest Reinsurance Company in the world fully owned by Government of India with the network in India and abroad is looking for Young, Energetic Graduates / Post Graduates with Brilliant Academic record in the disciplines mentioned below to fill in the positions of 73 Officers in the cadre of Assistant Managers (Scale-I). These officers will be posted in India and abroad (primarily to be posted in Head Office, Mumbai) as per the requirement of the Corporation.

Age:

• The applicant should fall between 21 and 30 years as on 01-March-2013.
• Relaxation in age will be applicable for different reserved category candidates as per the norms

Pay Scale:

The applicant once selected will receive a Basic Pay Rs.17240 per month in the scale of Rs.17240-Rs.32640 and other admissible allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, etc. The total emoluments will be about Rs.32000 per month plus other benefits

Terms of Recruitment:

• Selected candidates if medically found fit, will be appointed as Assistant Manager on probation for a period of one year, which may be extended by a further period upto one year.
• Before joining as probationer, the selected candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of four years including probation period.
• Candidates resigning from the Corporation during the probationary period, shall be liable to pay the salary received by them during their entire period of service in the Corporation in addition to an amount of Rs.25000 towards partial cost of Training incurred by the Corporation

• The application fee can be paid in shape of A/c Payee Demand Draft in favour of “General Insurance Corporation Of India”, payable at Mumbai

Selection Procedure:

• Selection will be done by through a written test followed by a group discussion and/or personal interview

• After submitting online application, the applicants are advised to take printout of the acknowledgement slip, put signature and along with the original DD, as applicable, and send it to the following address by Ordinary or Speed Post only.
• The Envelope containing hardcopy of the application must be super-scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT MANAGER IN GIC Re”. (indicating the Stream/ Discipline for which one is applying)
