Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam (BRPNN) was formed in 1975 under Indian Company Act as a state level authority for Construction/ Maintenance of Bridges/Roads and collect toll taxes on behalf of the Government of Bihar. Under its mission objective Bridges are constructed departmentally by the Nigam on the basis of current Schedule of Rates (SoR) sanctioned for Works Department. As the work is done departmentally, cost incurred is less as compared to work done by contractors. In the field of toll collection, Nigam has collected a toll of Rs. 94.55 crores from 1975-76 to 2007-08. Out of this amount, Rs. 18.46 crores has been spent on completion of construction works of 19 projects, and Rs. 16.00 crores has been spent on different projects of other fields.

With the recent announcement from Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam (BRPNN), applications from eligible candidates are being invited for various positions of Group-D posts under various categories.

The details of the vacancies and criteria for selection thereof are described as under:

Important Dates:

  • Date of closing of Online Registration of Application: 12-Apr-2014 till 06:00PM
  • Last Date of receipt of hardcopy of Application: 22-Apr-2014 till 06:00PM
  • Date for reckoning of age and eligibility: 01-Jan-2014

Details of the vacancies:

  • Assistant: 06 Positions (SC-01, EBC-01, BC-01, UR-03)
  • Lower Division Clerk: 65 Positions (SC-10, ST-01, EBC-11, BC-08, WBC-02, UR-33)
  • Accounts Clerk: 36 Positions (SC-08, ST-01, EBC-08, BC-03, WBC-03, UR-13)
  • Data Entry Operator: 06 Positions (SC-01, EBC-01, BC-01, UR-03)
  • Orderly/ Chowkidar: 13 Positions (SC-09, ST-02, WBC-02)

Reservation Rule:

  • The rules of reservation for SC, ST, BC, EBC, Women BC (WBC) candidates are applicable as per the normal recruitment norms.

Pay Scale:

        

  • Assistant: The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.4600 with other perks and allowances.
  • Lower Division Clerk: The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of PB-I at the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900 with other perks and allowances.
  • Accounts Clerk: The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of PB-I at the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.2800 with other perks and allowances.
  • Data Entry Operator: The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of PB-I at the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.2400 with other perks and allowances.
  • Orderly/ Chowkidar: The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the range of Rs.4440 – Rs.7410 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.1800 with other perks and allowances.

Criteria for Education & Experience:

  • Assistant: The applicants must have passed Graduation or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university. The applicants must possess knowledge of Computer Typing.
  • Lower Division Clerk: The applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university. The applicants must possess knowledge of Computer Typing.
  • Accounts Clerk: The applicants must have passed Graduation in Commerce or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university. The applicants must possess knowledge of Computer Accounting. The applicant must have at least 1 year experience in Accounting Work in an organization having turnover of minimum 30 crores per annum.
  • Data Entry Operator: The applicants must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university. The applicants must possess a certificate of Diploma in Computer Application (min. 6 months duration) and should have Hindi typing speed of at least 35 words per minute and English typing speed of minimum 40 words per minute. The applicant must have at least 3 year experience in Data Entry Work in an organization having turnover of minimum 30 crores per annum.
  • Orderly/ Chowkidar: The applicants must have passed Praveshika (Middle English standard) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Must have knowledge of Cycling and should be physically fit for carrying out duties as assigned.

Age requirement:

  • The applicant must has obtained at least 18 years of age and should not have exceeded 37 years of age as on 01-Jan-2014.
  • However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per norms for privileged categories.

Application Fee and Intimation charges:

  • For SC, ST: Rs. 200 only
  • For all others: Rs.300 only
  • The payment can be made through a Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of “Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Ltd.” and should be payable at Patna.
  • The applicants have to submit separate application fees, if they desire for applying in more than one positions.
  • No other mode of fee payment will be accepted

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test, marks obtained in the qualifying examination and experience on a Merit list. The list will be prepared by the Nigam for such a selection.
  • The applicants have to secure at least minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for selection.
